Delivery & installation

Hardware comes out of our own stock in Arcadia, California. Installation is a separate scope with its own schedule, because a crate arriving and a panel being commissioned are two different events — and conflating them is how projects slip.

Stock and lead time

Stocked lines — breakers, gateways, cameras, switches, meters, sensors, CTs — dispatch within two business days. Every gateway is configured and firmware-checked against the site's tag model before it is boxed, because a unit that fails at commissioning costs a site visit that is worth far more than the test.

Build-to-order items carry the lead time shown on the product page: edge cabinets are 4–6 weeks, panel modifications and custom CT ratios are quoted against a date rather than a range. If a line is out of stock, the product page shows the restock date instead of quietly accepting a backorder.

Freight is quoted with the project rather than added at a checkout, because a pallet of 61 panel kits is not a shipping line item — it is a schedule.

Staged releases

A 61-board site does not take 61 boards of stock in one drop. Releases are scheduled to the panels the crews are actually working on that week, palletised and labelled by panel number, and the balance sits on our floor at no charge for 60 days. One delivery note per release, one packing list matched to the point schedule, and one person to call if a line is short.

Packing

DIN devices ship in moulded trays so a breaker does not arrive with a cracked case. Cameras ship in a rigid box with the dome separate. Split-core CTs go in a padded bag with the lead coiled — a CT that has been crushed in transit meters 4% off and nobody finds out until the baseline does not reconcile. Panel kits ship with the register map and terminal diagram printed and packed with the hardware, not emailed separately.

Installation windows

Panel work is scheduled around production, which usually means nights and weekends. A 40-panel site typically runs two crews for three weekends; a 6-panel site finishes inside two night shifts. Split-core CTs clamp onto live conductors, so metering goes in without a feeder isolation — the only work that needs a planned stop is opening a board with exposed busbar.

We will not accept a schedule that assumes access the plant cannot give. If the shutdown window does not exist, the honest answer is a longer programme, not a faster crew.

Commissioning

Commissioning is a separate visit with a witnessed test: every tag polled, every alarm forced and cleared, every breaker tripped and reset, and the as-built drawings handed over in a format the plant owns. Two to four weeks of baseline metering follows before any savings figure is reported.

Tracking and claims

A tracking number goes out by email the moment the label is scanned. For freight, the carrier calls ahead to book a delivery window and will not leave a pallet without written authority.

Parcel shipments are photographed before sealing. If a unit arrives dead, tell us and a replacement ships the same day on a stocked line — we do not wait for the return to land first. Freight damage must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing, and reported within 5 calendar days either way; after that the carrier's liability is closed and we cannot reopen it.

International

We ship to Canada and Mexico. Canada is DDP, so duties and taxes are settled before dispatch and nothing is collected at the door. Catalogue voltages are 120–480 V for the North American grid; anything going to a 230 V / 50 Hz market is a different product and a different certification scope, and we will say so rather than ship something that will not work. Other destinations are quoted case by case — email doubleninginc@outlook.com with the site address and the scope.
